Hoje o convite de Bate & Rebate é para dois jovens e talentosos artistas, da perfumaria e da música: Symine Salimpour e Leonard Schreiber ( reedição das entrevistas publicadas em maio de 2009)

Symine Salimpour
Symine , jovem empresária, é criadora e responsável pela maison francesa, Hors Là Monde, sediada em Paris.
A primeira concepção perfumística de Symine (Shiloh), foi lançada em 2007, alcançando grande aceitação pública, sendo a primeira de uma linha de belas fragrâncias. Em dezembro útimo, Hors Lá Monde nos presenteou com Lady Shiloh, outra peça primorosa da perfumaria. Gentil, feminina e determinada, Symine pode ser descrita como a encarnação de Lady Shiloh pois o perfume reflete a sua personalidade. Empresária comprometida com as necessidades sociais, demonstra esta característica de consciência, felizmente encontrada em vários empreendedores da indústria da perfumaria, dedicando parte da sua renda a benfeitorias.

Leonard Schreiber
Precoce e talentoso violinista belga, que se apresenta com grande sucesso nos teatros de países europeus e americanos, é um artista de grande sensibilidade voltada para várias direções. Assim, também é um amante da perfumaria, não dispensando um belo perfume. Aos 25 anos seu raro talento permitiu-lhe a experiência de tocar em várias filarmônicas, e ser agraciado com louvor pelo Príncipe Charles da casa de Windsor e príncipe Phillipe de Bruxelas . Em abril de 2008 apresentou-se numa comemoração festiva em homenagem ao aniversário de 60 anos-Príncipe of Wales, no Pálacio de Buckingham- residência oficial da monarquia Inglesa. Crítica e público comparam Leonard aos maiores violinistas da atualidade. Presentemente em tournée pelo continente europeu, gentilmente cedeu seu tempo entre uma e outra apresentação, a fim de participar desta entrevista informal, falando sobre perfumes.

1. Um aroma ou perfume que tenha marcado sua infância
Symine- Minha mãe usava uma fragrância chamada Intrepid de Corizé Salomé. É um perfume relacionado com o amor e a poesia.Meu pai usava uma colônia feita de âmbar. Um perfume quente que é totalmente dele.Estes aromas estão no meu coração, uma lembrança de infância feliz e segura.O meu próprio perfume foi La Nuit de Paco Rabanne- eu era louca por ele.Em algum momento tive que parar de borrifá-lo sobre minhas mãos por que o meu nariz estava sempre grudado nelas e as pessoas da minha escola começaram a pensar que algo estava ...
Leonard - O cheiro na entrada do nosso apartamento em Menton( Côte d'Azur). Nós vivíamos na Bélgica e íamos para lá nas férias de verão. O perfume da entrada era sinônimo de felicidade e férias !Realmente é um cheiro indescritível... Apenas o perfume de quando se entra onde nossa propriedade está. Talvez o cheiro de maresia.

2. Uma situação estranha ou engraçada relacionada a um perfume
Symine - Alguns meses atrás recebi o convite de um amigo para jantar e quando estava me apresentando à uma convidada ela perguntou o que eu estava fazendo na vida.Respondi: - Bem... eu estou fazendo perfumes.Perguntou-me se eu estava fazendo algum que ela conhecesse.Um pouco intimidada respondi: - Não sei ... ainda não é muito conhecido, chama-se Shiloh.Ela enlouqueceu e disse que tinha acabado de comprar um na Bendel's!Foi uma grande sensação!

Provavelmente algo semelhante a um músico que ouve sua música tocada na rádio pela primeira vez!

Leonard - Estava dizendo para uma mulher bonita que ela cheirava maravilhosamente bem.. Ela replicou:- É o meu próprio perfume!A mulher é Symine e o perfume é claro ... Lady Shiloh!!!

3. O perfume do primeiro amor.
Symine - Graças a você Betty todos vão saber quem eu prefiro!O perfume que trouxe problemas à minha vida é Kouros de Yves Saint Laurent! Uma combinação de notas limpas e animalescas foi provavelmente o primeiro motivo para eu me apaixonar por este homem.Desde então, não há uma vez que eu voe para algum lugar sem que pare no duty free shop para borrifar um pouco em minhas mãos.

4. Um perfume para uma canção ou uma canção para um perfume
Symine - Kouros está relacionado com a canção Candle in the Wind, de Elton John.Certo vez, eu estava numa situação complicada, com um homem me assediando. A fim de detê-lo meu "homem Kouros", começou a cantar esta música a plenos pulmões. Sua voz, seu perfume, sua alma fizeram com que eu me sentisse bonita e forte.
Leonard - Sinto muito mas não conheço muitos perfumes.

5. Um perfume perfeito para Symine , um perfume perfeito para Leonard
Symine - São muitos os perfumes perfeitos, só depende de quem está usando, do momento e das emoções pelas quais estamos passando... eu acho.Neste momento vou lhe dizer que o meu ideal é Shiloh, criado na colaboração de Michel Roudnistka para Hors là Monde, minha marca.Creio que ele conseguiu criar uma fragrância amadeirada como nunca foi criada antes.As notas de saída são muito frescas e limpas; com a evolução vão ficando mais quentes finalmente atingindo você bem no coração.
Leonard - Você está perguntando qual o melhor perfume para mim ? Ou para a pessoa com quem estou ?Acho que Lady Shiloh fica perfeito em Symine!Pessoalmente eu mudo de loção de barba quando canso de alguma. Tento achar algo distinto mas com classe, refinado, elegante, não muito doce nem muito forte... Tem que ser fresco e simples! No momento eu gosto de Soir pour Homme de Bvlgari.

6. Um perfume encantador que faz pensar em sedução
Symine - Todos os perfumes que as pessoas que eu amo estão usando.
Leonard - Jasmim rosa e pêssego despertam fogo.

7. Um perfume que ainda precisa ser feito
Symine - O meu próximo é claro! Estou trabalhando nele, mas vou manter a surpresa.
Leonard - Eu penso que os aromas encontrados na Natureza são os melhores. A criação de algo artificial não me agrada muito. Entretanto há infinitas combinações de aromas naturais que ainda podem ser explorados.Que os artistas me seduzam!

Today, my invitation goes to the cherming young guests: Symine Salimpour and Leonard Schreiber (Reissue of interviews published in May 2009).

Symine Salimpour is the young employer who created and founded the french maison Hors LÀ Monde, located in Paris. The talented young woman creates jewels and niche perfumes nicely appreciated by exclusive buyers. The first perfume designed by Symine was launched in 2007 and it had a wide acceptance by the public, becoming the first of a series of wonderful fragrances. Last december, Hors Là Monde gifted us lauching another perfumery master piece- Lady Shiloh. Sweet, feminine but determined, Symine can be seen as the embodiment of Lady Shiloh, a perfume that reflects her personality. Worried about social needs, she shows this awareness, fortunately found in several employers in the perfumery industry.

Leonard Schreiber is a precocious and virtuoso Belgian violinist who performs brilliant concerts and recitals in European and American countries. An artist, therefore the owner of fine sensitivity which expands in several directions. As a perfume lover, he can't afford a good fragrance.

At the age of 25, his great talent has allowed him the opportunity of perfoming great concerts with several philharmonic orchestras, and he had the honor to play for Prince Charles at Windsor Castle and for Prince Philipe in Brussels.

In april 2008 he played at the Gala concert for the Prince of Wales 60th birthday, held a Buckingham Palace. Public criticism places Leonard among the greatest modern violinists. During a tour in Europe he was kind enough to take some time and answer some questions about perfumes, in this informal interview.

1. That scent or perfume that marked in childhood
Symine - My mother was wearing this fragrance called Intrepide by Corize Salomé.It is a scent related to love and poetry.My father was using a cologne made of Amber. A warm scent that is totally him.Those scents are in my heart a memory of a happy and safe childhood.My own perfume was La Nuit de P

At some point, I had to stop spraying it on my hands because my nose was always gluded to my hands and people thought that someting was wrong at school...

Leonard - The smell in the entrance of our flat in Menton ( Côte d'Azur). We lived in Belgium, and would go there for the summer holidays...The perfume of the entrance was synonyme to "happiness" and "holiday".Actually, it is an undescribable smell...Just the scent when you come into the building where our property is. Maby the smell of the sea.

2. A funny or odd situation related to a perfume
Symine - A couple of months ago, I was invited by a friend to a dinner and as I was introducing myself to a guest she asked me what I was doing in life.I told her: - Well...I'm doing perfumes.She asked me if I was doing anything that she would Know...A little intimidated, I say:- I'm not sure...it's not well known yet, it's called Shiloh.She went crazy and said that she had just bought it at Bendel's!It was a great feeling!Probaly something similar to a musician that hears his music being played on the radio for the first time!
Leonard - Telling a beautiful woman that she smells wonderful...She then replied: "it's my own perfume"... The woman is Symine, and the perfume of course Lady Shiloh!!!

3. The perfume of the first person you fell in love with
Symine - Thank to you Betty, everyone will know who I prefer !!!The perfume that brought troubles in my life is Kouros by Yves Saint Laurent!The mix of the clean notes and animals were probably the main reason for me to fall in love with this man.Since then, there is not one time that I fly somewhere without stopping at the duty free to spray some on my hands.

4. A perfume for a song or a song for a perfume
Symine - Kouros is related to the song Candle in the wind by Elton John.That day, I was in tricky situation, a man was bothering me. In order to stop him my "Kouros man", started to sing that song full heart.

His voice, his perfume, his soul made me feel, pretty and strong.

Leonard - I don't know enough perfumes . I'm afraid...

5. Symine's perfect perfume and Leonard's perfect perfume.
Symine - There are many perfect perfumes, it just depends on who's wearing it,the moment and the emotions we're going trought I think.At this moment, I'll tell you that the perfect one is Shiloh, created in collaboration with Michel Roudnitska for Hors Là Monde, my brand.The top notes are very fresh and clean and as you're getting to the heart, it's getting warmer and finally straight to your heart!
Leonard - Are you asking what is the perfect perfume for me , or for the person I'm with ?I think Lady Shiloh suits Symine to perfection!Personally I change the after shave when I get bored of one.I guess I search for something distinct but classy, refined, elegant, not too sweet, nor too strong. It has to be fresh and simple! At the moment I like Soir pour Homme by Bvlgari.

6. A lovely scents that makes you think about seduction.
Symine - All the perfumes that the people that I love are wearing.
Leonard - Jasmine, rose, peach open fire.

7. A perfume still needs to be made.
Symine - My following one of course! I'm working on it but I'll keep it as surprise.
Leonard - I think that the scents we find in the nature are the best. Creating something artificial doesn't appeal to me. Howewer there are endless combination of natural existing scents, which are still possible to explore...I let the artisst seduce me...!
